I'll dominate 'credible boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight round match which will be streamed in real-time on the streaming platform.

British boxer Joshua said he will "stamp all over" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the two fighters came face-to-face to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Former two time world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami's venue on December 19th.

Fighter's Mentality

"I plan to break his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I will really want to injure him. That's my goal."

Respectful Interaction

Despite these statements, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - usually known for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Paul instead targeted former Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "not serious" after Ngannou declined a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, targeted British opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a large bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua stated.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of stating he plans to punish Paul, Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he stated.

Paul's Background

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

Still, the inexperienced fighter remains one of the sport's largest financial successes, regularly earning massive earnings.

Prediction and Belief

The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would stop the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently in the works for 2026.

"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.

Physical Difference

As Joshua and Paul participated in the traditional face-off, with their physical disparity evident, it highlighted just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is truly going ahead.
